Yogi Berra
We begin the strategic planning process by conducting a thorough Active Inquiry process where we ask positive and encouraging questions regarding the current state of the organization.
Notice we say, "positive and encouraging questions".
Our evaluation process is designed to find what your organization is doing better than others, where you are winning, and what your teammates feel set you apart from other organizations.
Step two is developing a game plan. We consider four key areas:
- Where do we want to go?
- What are the goals and measurables? What does success look like?
- What obstacles are in the way of realizing success?
- What resources are necessary for success?
With these questions answered, we develop a strategic plan based on the timeline you and your organization desire. We often develop one, three, and five year plans for our partners. These plans include key benchmarks that are measured at every step in the process.
Once we have established short and long-term goals and objectives, we move to step three.
Each step in the strategic planning process is vital to success. However, organizations that miss step three are 70% more likely to fail (Garter Analytics).
Communicating the strategic plan is mission critical. Not just what the plan entails, but ensuring each and every employee understands the WHY, WHAT, and HOW.
Our team works with senior leaders to develop the communication strategy to ensure that each person within your organization knows WHY the plan has been developed, WHAT you are trying to accomplish, and HOW they fit into the overall plan.
Once the strategy is developed, we guide your leaders step-by-step through the communication phase to ensure each employee is 100% clear on what you are trying to accomplish.
As a side note...
You will hear us say (often), "99% clarity isn't enough. Anything less that 100% clarity leaves room for chaos!"
You know your WHY. You have developed your WHAT. Without your HOW, you have a beautiful plan with ability to execute.
Our team works with you to develop behaviors (actions) that take your plan "From Theory To Application".
At this point, every person knows exactly what is expected of them, how they can contribute to the overall goal, and tangible behaviors that ensure they find success.
